Good or Bad? - If you're dummy ask the pro.

I always doubt about the idea of new7wonder online voting system. It was such a misery that the Cambodian goverment had blinkly support this project. These old leaders had no idea what this guy 'Bernard Weber' is upto. They proud about WOW vote on the Internet ha? cool ... cool what? that stupid.

How many time have you seen and heard about goverment stupid decision about ICT?
Are they man enough to take responsibilities?

Windows Vista? Don't try to talk alien...

Let me explain what happened. Last night I got an important e-mail from a friend. I need to download the attachment which size ~432KB off my Yahoo mail. Since it night time I got to get on the internet through my slow mobile phone dial up connection. Lucky enough I got file download and when the download size reach 432KB I got a welcome message from vista:

There is not enough space on VISTA. You need additional 6.98 EB to copy these files.
Funny enough see my free space on the drive? I really don't understand what Vista trying to tell me. Is it kind of new alien message from outer space?

No, It just an overprotected things

I recently open a discussion about why vista copy operation is slow?
Well, it turn out that not everyone got into the same.

Last night I decide to retry Vista, okay this time I got to a point where vista ask me to apply it protecting methods. As far as I remember last time what I did was "Vista Recommendation setting". But hell no this time I decided to go on my own. I said no to Vista Recommendation (actually I should have said no to what ever Windows® recommend me.

Alright so what the deal.
All the slow copy, move, delete operation problem had gone :)
It make vista a happy place to stay "for a while" :)

Ubuntu 7.04 Round #2

Okay, one I submit a request for CD from Ubuntu I received it.
One I start install on my computer I found that I doesn't support my VGA the solution is to download an alternate version. Fine!

I did download Ubuntu-7.04-alternate.iso

  1. burn it to a DVD
  2. run media check - all passed
Now it time for me to perform a real installation, I know that my intel wireless card might not function during installation so I attach network cable in and then ready to kick start:
  1. Boot from Ubuntu DVD
  2. Start Text Mode Installation
  3. Answe all the easy quetions
  4. Do manual partition (I already allocated space for linux already) -> select unallocated space -> let partition tool do it works -> done
  5. Now installation seem to go well
  6. until 85% Installed brltty-x11 it just stuck there ....
I have no choice but to reboot my computer, after set active partition back to drive C:\ I start to search for the issue:

Some Suggestion:
  1. A guy report in ubuntu forum that he had a similiar problem he wait for ~2 hr 30 mn then installation start to wake up and resume.
  2. The other guy said well need to burn ubuntu-7.04 using slower speed.
Anyway I need to do some work let save these trick for another day ... until then I'll let you know.

Sacrified - Only through hell where I can find my heaven...

I have been using Windows for years ever since I first touch PC. But from time to time I start thinking "Windows is where I belong?".

The more Windows evolve the more I lost control.
I need to get the power back.
I want everything to go my way.

I have been very upset with Windows Vista it extream suck, I can stay with it more than 2 days.
I tried, oh yeah I did. But hell no I better find a new home...

Why???? I hate to repeat myself. If I have to learn Windows again I better learn Linux.

I decided to scarified my disk space by allow linux to sit on the physical rather than sit inside my virtual machine. I know it's going to be a hard time for news bie like me but I willing to take the risk.

May be one day I live my life without looking through the WinX...
I am about to get Ubuntu up and running - my transition is about to get start.
